ACI’s HistoryIn the mid 1920’s construction associations in the Tri-State area discussed the concept of creating an umbrella-type organization encompassing all management branches of the commercial construction mutual interest, while separate trade associations divisions located under the larger association would represent their members in areas of individual interests.
By January 1, 1929, three local associations, The Builders Exchange of Southwest Ohio, The Hamilton County Building Materials Credit Association, and The Associated General Contractors of America, had voted to merge and form a new organization. On March 28, 1929, 450 representatives of the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky construction industry met in Cincinnati. A resolution was presented during the meeting to name this new organization Allied Construction Industries (ACI). Contact Us! Get Directions to our facilty. |
