Brendon grew up in Franklin, OH, a small town north of Cincinnati with his mom, dad, and older brother Brent. Upon graduating from the local Franklin High School in 2012 he decided to pursue a Construction Management degree at the University of Cincinnati through some strong advice from his brother, a soon to be graduate of the UC program.
Upon going to UC, Brendon became involved in a student group called the Construction Student Association (CSA) that focuses on industry involvement, outreach, and community service for CM, Architectural, and Civil engineering students. Through this program Brendon became involved in the ACI’s Young Professionals group of which he helped connect students to the opportunities and events offered by ACI and its YPs. With these new industry connections Brendon was able to receive co-op experience with Messer Construction Company. While working locally with Messer Brendon received experience on multiple healthcare projects that included Christ Hospital’s Joint & Spine Center and CCHMC’s Proton Therapy Center. Brendon is currently a senior and will be graduating this spring from the Construction Management program.
As Brendon’s senior year comes to an end he was fortunate to be one of ACI’s scholarship recipients at this past year’s member meeting. Brendon will begin his career as a Project Engineer with Danis Building Construction in Dayton where he will be moving after graduation with his soon to be wife Jessica. Brendon hopes to continue his involvement with ACI’s YP group as the new representative from Danis.
