Tri-State Area Safety Council
The Tri-State Area Safety Council is a program in which companies can earn a "rebate" check from the BWC. By meeting or exceeding criteria set forth by the BWC, Safety Council members can earn a rebate check up to 2% of their annual BWC premiums. ACI administers all the record keeping and submittal to the BWC. Program fee is $150 per year.
Participants must attend 10 Safety Council meetings, one of which must be attended by the company's CEO. Our Safety Council meetings are approved by the BWC and are held at ACI. Meetings are usually held the third Tuesday of the month, begin at 7:15 a.m. and last until 8:30 a.m. Attendees can be anyone from the participating company who must sign in upon arrival. Participating companies must also complete two semi-annual reports and submit them to ACI on or before the requested due dates. By complying with the required meeting attendance and reports, participating companies can earn a 2% rebate. In addition, the BWC sets forth requirements on incident and injury rates to be met. By maintaining a 0% rate or reducing your rate by 10% over the program year, you can qualify for the additional 2% rebate.
