Core Safety Classes

  • OSHA 10- This course is considered the basic safety class for all construction workers. Upon completion, workers will have an understanding of the top injury and accident areas in construction. Upon completion, attendees will receive their OSHA 10 hour card.
  • OSHA 30- This class gives a more "indepth" explanation of the OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Regulations, covering an introduction to OSHA, OSHA Act, General Duty Clause, General Safety and Health Provisions, Competent Person and more! Includes DOL.OSHA card for completion of exam and class..
  • OSHA Updates- These quarterly updates are free to ACI members, and provide discussions on jobsite findings, standards that are being cited, and OSHA's compliance focus for construction.
  • Drug Free Workplace Training- Separate workshops are held for supervisors and employees. The supervisor class covers the basic points required by the BWC. The employee class provides an understanding of substance abuse issues affecting the workplace and how the BWC's drug-free workplace program operates.
  • First Aid/CPR/BBP/AED- This class meets the OSHA requirements for CPR and first Aid Training that are required of any employees providing on-site medical attention. Bloodborne Pathogen training is also required for employees whose "work or responsibilities" place them at risk of contracting various communicable diseases. Participants receive a Certificate of Completion and wallet card good for two (2) years on CPR/First Aid and one (1) year for Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Equipment Training and Equipment Train-the-Trainer through Bobcat
    (Industrial Forklift, Rough Terrain, Aerial Lift, and Skid Steer)

Special Safety Classes

  • Written Safety Program- This program will help you develop a written safety program, which may be required to qualify for BWC discount programs and meet OSHA regulations. Participants receive a binder with a customized safety program, computer disc for easy updates, and sample policies and rules.
  • Fall Protection- This class will help you to identify fall hazards and best protect your workers as well as meet OSHA's guidelines for competent person requirements for fall protection.
  • Trenching and Excavation- This class is designed for all employees working in areas four feet or deeper and covers OSHA regulations, general requirements for trenching, site inspections, and proper design and selection of protective systems. Participants receive a comprehensive manual and certificate of completion with wallet card.
  • Confined Space- This class is a must for construction employees that work in areas that may be just large enough to physically enter, that have limited access, and/or that may not be designed for continuous human occupancy. Examples could be storage tanks, ventilation or exhaust ducts, underground utility vaults, tunnels, pipelines, pits, tubs, sewers, elevator shafts, trenches, cement mixers, and more.
  • OSHA 10 in Spanish- This class covers the same topics as OSHA 10, only in Spanish. Upon completion, attendees will receive their OSHA 10-hour Card.
  • Defensive Driving- This class can help your company reduce the leading cause of work-related fatalities- "traffic crashes." Attendees will learn about the latest driving issues and topics.
  • Slam the Door on the Killer Four- This class provides information on avoiding each of OSHA's Focus Four hazards: Caught-in-Between Hazards, Struck-By Hazards, Fall Hazards, and Electrical Hazards.
  • CHST Prep Classes- This workshop is intended to assist you in preparation for the Construction Health and Safety Technician examination.
  • Safety in Scheduling/Lean Construction
  • Emergency Preparedness

Environmental Classes

  • ACM (Asbestos) Awareness- This class is directed at anyone involved in the maintenance, renovation or demolition of buildings, facilities or other structures and covers topics required by OSHA.
  • Lead Awareness- This class is directed at anyone involved in the maintenance, renovation or demolition of buildings, facilities or other structures and covers topics required by OSHA.
  • Storm Water- This program will cover the requirements (permits), preparation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP3), and construction site activities required to comply with the Federal Clean Water Act under the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program.
