EDUCATION & TRAINING PROGRAMS

ACI is dedicated to providing our members one of the best and most effective Education Programs of any commercial construction trade association in the country.  We help our members succeed by offering exceptional course materials, taught by the leading professionals in the industry.  Our goal is to assist our members in mastering day-to-day performance excellence while realizing exceptional and sustainable results.  ACI is committed to continually offer classes on new and innovative cutting-edge topics.  Following is a summary of the classes currently offered.

Project Management
This program will be provided using the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum, which is an international organization specializing in the construction industry.  Certification from successfully attending these classes and passing the exams may qualify for college credit towards a degree program.  This series includes modules on:   Introduction to Project Management, Interpersonal Skills, Issues and Resolutions, Construction Documents, Resource Control and Continuous Improvement

Special Interests
The construction industry requires specific skill sets that are unique to our industry.  These classes will provide these technical skills that are paramount to the success of any commercial construction company.

Green/BIM/Lean
In addition to classes to aid individuals in becoming LEED Certified or to improve their LEED documentation skills, we offer classes on current trends in green construction as well as the movement towards true Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Lean Construction tactics.

Superintendent Training Program (STP)

This recently revised series is for the newly promoted Superintendent or the individual soon to be moved into this position.  It is also a great refresher for the seasoned professional.

Executive Management
This exciting new program will offer unique opportunities for the management professional in fine tuning critical skills necessary to manage your corporation.

Legal
Within the construction industry there are legal pitfalls that you must learn to maneuver around as well as initiatives you must institute to protect your assets and your reputation.  These classes will offer what’s new in this battlefield.

Accounting
Accounting in Construction requires additional skills and reporting than other industries require.  Learn how to streamline your processes but yet obtain the detail that your managers require to make more informed decisions.

Computer
ACI is committed to keep you informed in the tried and true computer programs that we use everyday as well and keep abreast of new technology as it becomes available.

PV Solar Certificate Program
This course is for candidates seeking to add solar credentials to their existing skill set.  This certificate program is through a partnership with Cincinnati State’s Workforce Development Campus and can also be applied towards college credit.
